XXX SPO CONGRESS TAKES A “JOURNEY THROUGH ORTHODONTICS” AND DEFINES THE PRESENT AND FUTURE OF THE SPECIALTY<\/h3>\n

President of the Portuguese Orthodontic Society recalled the specialty’s promising role. <\/span><\/span>Over the three days of the Congress, several topics were highlighted, including orthodontics for <\/span><\/span>the advancement of digital techniques, aligners and the importance of diagnosis in orthodontics. <\/span><\/span>orthodontics.<\/span><\/strong><\/h5>\n

The Super Bock Arena Congress Center – Rosa Mota Pavilion, in Porto, hosted the XXX Congress of the Portuguese Orthodontic Society (SPO) on October 24, 25 and 26.<\/p>\n

Under the motto “Journey through Orthodontics”, the Congress registered a record 523 entries, focusing on topics such as advances in digital techniques and different approaches to the importance of diagnosis.<\/p>\n

At the opening ceremony, Dr. Carlos Coelho, President of the Organizing Committee of the XXX SPO Congress, immediately revealed the three objectives of the congress working group: a venue that would reflect the image of Porto, attract a significant number of congress participants and guarantee a scientific program that would leave “an indelible mark” on the orthodontic panorama. “With the remarkable evolution of orthodontic techniques, responsibilities also arise.<\/p>\n

Hence the duty to keep up to date and ensure that our practice is not only fundamentally evidence-based, but also ethical and patient-centered,” reinforced Dr. Carlos Coelho.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
