Welcome to the Portuguese Orthodontic Society
It is with great honor and responsibility that I begin this new chapter as President of the Portuguese Orthodontic Society.
This is not only a moment to celebrate the evolution of our specialty, but also to reflect on the challenges ahead. For this, I know I have the best team and colleagues to continue the hard work that has been done over the past few years.
This position is also a way of committing to strengthening the scientific and professional excellence of our community, promoting dialogue, continuous training, and teamwork.
I hope this will be a year marked by innovation and collaboration, with the primary goal of better serving our patients and strengthening orthodontics in Portugal.
I am committed and counting on the support of each one of you so that together, as a team, we can achieve the best that Orthodontics has to offer.
The Portuguese Orthodontic Society
Orthodontics is the branch of dentistry dedicated to the prevention and correction of misaligned teeth and jaws, with the goal of enabling proper function and achieving harmonious aesthetics.
The Portuguese Orthodontic Society is a scientific association dedicated to the study, research, dissemination, and investigation of orthodontics. It promotes training, events, congresses, and other activities with the aim of expanding and disseminating scientific knowledge in this field.
The Portuguese Orthodontic Society is pleased to have always been a space for bringing together all orthodontists. All those who love orthodontics and participate in studies, training, research, teaching, publications, and debates, among other activities, have always found their place here. With younger members and the evolution of the society in mind, structural changes were made throughout 2023, and real benefits were granted to SPO members.
